Encamp has regulated street spaces, municipal car parks and direct access to Grandvalira via Funicamp. The blue zone is a useful weekend option, but always check the colour and tariff on the sign beside your space.

Free parking in Encamp: weekends and outside paid hours

Blue-zone spaces near the Encamp tunnel
Street parking near the tunnel entrance can be a useful alternative in busy periods.

The blue zone is generally free at weekends, while the green zone may remain paid. On weekdays, payment hours and rates depend on the space, so follow the local meter or app instructions.

If the centre is busy, municipal car parks offer a more predictable alternative. Open-air lots commonly include a free initial period; covered parking has a different tariff.

  • Read the sign at the exact space and confirm the paid hours.
  • Do not assume that blue-zone and green-zone rules are the same.
  • Use the official local parking information for current rates.

Multi-day parking passes and e-parq card

If you park for several days, the multi-day passes can reduce the rate substantially: open-air parking is €64.01 for seven days (about €9.14/day) or €93.31 for 30 days (about €3.11/day); covered parking is €95.78 for seven days (about €13.68/day) or €123.39 for 30 days (about €4.11/day). The open-air 12–24-hour tariff is €23.95. e-parq is intended for residents and workers; the chip card (€11) works in barrier car parks and blue/green meters, while the €5 non-chip card works only in barrier car parks. Both offer 50% off communal parking and the first hour free; neither discount applies to Funicamp's special 8 am–8 pm tariff.

Keep the parking ticket and check payment instructions before leaving the car. Some car parks use separate daytime and overnight tariffs.

Park and Ride: free parking for eligible ski-pass holders

The Funicamp car park is convenient for the cable car and Grandvalira. For longer visits, compare its daytime rate with the municipal car parks in town.

In winter, a Park and Ride arrangement may connect municipal parking with Funicamp for eligible ski-pass holders. Check the current resort and Comú instructions, including where to validate your pass.

  • Park at an eligible municipal lot such as Prat de Baró, Prat de l'Areny or Arínsols.
  • Validate the ski pass at the tourist office near Funicamp or as directed on the Funibus.
  • Confirm that the pass and parking lot qualify for the current Park and Ride offer.
