Blue-zone spaces and municipal car parks serve the centre. Rates, paid hours and Sunday rules can vary, so check the meter or local signs for the space you choose.

El Farré Negre is a useful covered option near the Pal gondola. It connects with the lift access and is popular on busy winter and summer days.

  • Check whether a street space is blue zone or another regulated zone.
  • Look at the car park tariff board for day and overnight rates.
  • Allow extra time during ski holidays and major mountain-bike events.

Free parking on Carrer Josep Areny

The local guide identifies free spaces around number 16 on Carrer Josep Areny. They are useful for short visits but limited in number; use the map and obey any signs before leaving the car.

On Sundays and public holidays, blue- and green-zone rules can depend on the vehicle registration. Foreign-registered vehicles may still need to pay, so verify the instructions at the meter.

  • Outside paid hours, regulated spaces may be free; check the posted schedule.
  • Do not assume Sunday is free for every registration.
  • Use the free-space map as a guide, not a guarantee of availability.

Hotels with parking in La Massana

Hotel Rutllan & Spa is a four-star hotel in central La Massana, 300 metres from the Pal-Arinsal gondola, with covered private parking for about €12/day, a water-circuit spa and heated pool. Hotel Magic La Massana by Nexta is a four-star central hotel close to the lift, with parking by agreement for about €24/day. Abba Xalet Suites Hotel is in Sispony, 1 km from the Massana-Pal gondola; it has free outdoor parking and a covered indoor option for about €14/day.

Ask whether the parking fee is per day, whether a space is guaranteed and whether the hotel has a height restriction. During ski and mountain-bike events, reserve parking together with the room. Abba is outside central La Massana, so plan the transfer to the gondola.

“A place to return to”

9.0 — Exceptional

+ Very friendly staff, excellent food and everything clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Ideal if you have a pet, as you can bring it with you.

− Parking is difficult unless you book the hotel's paid parking.

“Spectacular”

10.0 — Exceptional

+ A very spacious room and exceptional staff.

− The parking is a little expensive, though that is the only thing to complain about.

“Excellent, would definitely return”

10.0 — Exceptional

+ We loved the peaceful hotel, beautiful garden and building, views, convenient parking and breakfast. We wanted to come back in summer to enjoy the pool and terrace.

− There was nothing we disliked; my son would have liked more gym options, but it was not a major issue for a hotel.
