Pas de la Casa - Andorra border town

Shopping in Pas de la Casa: shops, hours and customs

The complete guide to shopping in Pas de la Casa in 2026

Actualizado el:

Pas de la Casa is the first Andorran town you encounter when coming from France via the Envalira pass road. Situated at over 2,000 metres altitude, this border town has become an essential shopping destination for visitors looking for great prices thanks to Andorra's favourable tax system.

But before filling your boot with goods, it's essential to understand the customs rules, the allowances and the opening hours of the shops. That's exactly what we're going to cover in this complete guide.

Ten en cuenta que al cruzar la frontera tendrás que pagar el 3G, ya que por defecto los operadores no incluyen Andorra en sus tarifas y el roaming es muy caro. Si quieres saber cómo obtener datos móviles en Andorra:

Opening hours of shops in Pas de la Casa

One of the great advantages of shopping in Pas de la Casa is the flexible hours. Unlike Spain or France, Andorran shops are open 361 days a year, including Sundays!

General hours

  • Monday to Saturday: 9:00 - 20:00
  • Sunday: 9:00 - 19:00
  • Hiperpas supermarket: from 7:00

Closed days: 1 January, 14 March, 8 September and 25 December.

Some shops, especially large stores and tobacco shops, may stay open later, particularly during ski season.

Where to park in Pas de la Casa

Parking in Pas de la Casa is easier than it seems. The blue zone in front of the shops usually has space almost always outside of peak season. And on weekends, the blue zone is free in Pas de la Casa (same as in Encamp).

If not, just before the entrance to town there are free parking areas.

For all the details (covered car parks, blue zone, free options, My Pyri, etc.), I've prepared a complete guide to parking in Pas de la Casa.

1️⃣ Hotel Focus - Top Rated (Recommended)

Rating: 9.3/10 · 📍 Location: Pas de la Casa, centre · 🅿️ Parking: No private parking (blue zone out front, free on weekends)

Hotel Focus is my main recommendation if you don't need private parking. It's the top rated in the area (9.3/10 on Booking), a recent hotel, well located, with welcoming staff and a good breakfast. No private parking, but ideal if you're looking for the best value for money in Pas de la Casa and parking isn't an issue outside peak season.

"New hotel. Very well located. Welcoming receptionist. We had a very pleasant stay. Varied breakfast for all tastes. I especially recommend it for the price."

2️⃣ Hotel Panda - Great value for money

Rating: 8.4/10 · 📍 Location: Pas de la Casa, town centre · 🅿️ Parking: Blue zone out front (free on weekends)

Hotel Panda is a great alternative: a simple slope-side hotel right in the heart of Pas de la Casa with great value for money. In winter you can find rooms around €100/night for a couple when booking in advance. The blue zone out front is free on weekends.

"Excellent location. Good bed. Very smiling and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant. Excellent value for money."

3️⃣ Hotel Avanti - Right in the centre

Rating: 7.0/10 · 📍 Location: Pas de la Casa, town centre · 🅿️ Parking: Blue zone out front (free on weekends)

Hotel Avanti is right in the centre of Pas de la Casa. The blue zone out front is easily accessible. The score is lower than the others mainly due to the bathrooms.

"Good central location. Mountain views from the room, welcome and catering were perfect. Bathroom way too small, especially the shower."
