Where to Park in Ordino

Blue zone, green zone, municipal parking lots and Ordino Arcalís with 2026 prices

Ordino is a small, quiet village in the north of Andorra, and it's also the gateway to the lakes of Tristaina and the Solar Viewpoint.

An important detail: here the blue zone is paid every day, including Saturday and Sunday. If you haven't seen my general guide on where to park in Andorra, I compare all the parishes there.

Quick Summary

Here's what I'd do depending on your case:

  • You're coming to ski at Ordino Arcalís: park for free at the base parking lot (1,500 spaces).
  • You're visiting the village: the blue and green zones cost €1.60/h and are paid every day. In high season it can be a bit harder to find a spot.
  • You'll stay for several hours: the municipal barrier parking lots cost €1.53/h (€0.80/h at night), with the first half hour free: the most economical option in the village.
  • You're staying in the area: always ask the hotel; some have private parking, like the Hotel Santa Bàrbara.

Free parking in Ordino

Unlike other parishes, there is no free day of the week in the blue or green zone, and the hours are continuous (from 9:30 to 20:00, with no midday break). The only free time of the day is:

  • From 20:00 to 9:30 (night)

Since Ordino is a small, quiet village, there's usually not too many people and you can easily park in the blue zone. In high season it can be a bit more complicated; then it's better to look for an open-air lot.

The exception to all this is Ordino Arcalís, where the base parking lot is completely free. If you're coming to ski, you won't pay anything for the car.

As for white zones, there are a few. But it's in the villages further away from the center of Ordino where you'll find white zones.

Hotels with parking in Ordino

If you want to sort out the parking situation completely when you arrive, in Ordino there are several options: from hotels with free outdoor parking (Hotel Coma in the village, Abba Ordino Babot 2 km away and Hotel El Pradet in El Serrat) to hotels with private parking for guests. For a full comparison of hotels with parking in all areas of Andorra (center, outskirts, prices), check out my guide to the best hotels with parking

Hotel Coma — free outdoor parking

It has free outdoor parking for guests and even an electric vehicle charging point. If you prefer the covered garage for winter, it's paid separately. You won't depend on the blue zone or the municipal parking lots.

“Great stay”

8.0 — Fantastic

+ The accommodation has a very good location in Ordino. By car you get relatively quickly to the center of Escaldes and the mountain area of Ordino Arcalís. Free parking. The hotel has mini golf, a tennis court, a basketball hoop, among other things. There's a common area with tables and chairs, armchairs, a pool table, a bar for drinks, etc. The room was comfortable, with a whirlpool bathtub. Decent breakfast, although we would have liked a bit more variety (individual yogurts, some cake, omelette, for example).

− The wifi in the room is practically non-existent.

Abba Ordino Babot Hotel — free outdoor parking

Mountain chalet about 2 km from the center (road from Ordino to Canillo) with a large free outdoor parking lot for guests. It has a seasonal outdoor pool and usually offers a free shuttle to Ordino Arcalís in winter. The covered indoor parking is paid separately (€14/night).

“Dream vacation”

10.0 — Exceptional

+ Family treatment, spectacular views, very good and complete breakfast, same for dinner. Comfortable room, good location, easy access and free parking.

− We would have appreciated if they lowered the heating a bit. Bathroom a bit old.

Hotel Santa Bàrbara de la Vall d'Ordino — private parking

Charming rural hotel with views over the valley, surrounded by nature and near the start of the hiking trails to Tristaina. It has private parking for guests, so you won't depend on the blue zone or the municipal parking lots. Some guests prefer to use external parking lots for reasons of available space or price. It's the usual thing in hotels in the center of the parishes.

“Short stay in Andorra”

7.0 — Bien

+ The location is excellent if you don't want to be in a chaotic city like Andorra: Ordino is a quiet, relaxed village, there's a well-priced parking lot near the accommodation and you also have the green/blue zones that are free in the afternoon/evening until the morning. Free wifi. They offer breakfast at €10 which is fine, given the food prices in this country, it's worth it. The staff is quite pleasant and answers all your questions. Maybe they should add a bit more light in both the room and the bathroom.

− The room is small for 3 adults including their luggage, the beds a bit soft and pillows very low; besides, the room is prepared for winter, if you don't leave the window open in summer you die of heat (leave the curtain in front or insects come in). There was a TV but only a French channel worked, the rest was impossible, the signal didn't arrive. Anecdote: next to the hotel there's a church with bells that ring not only on the hour, but also at quarter past, half past and quarter to, until midnight and back at 7:15 in the morning. They should add a few more sockets, there were only two in the room.

Municipal parking lots in Ordino

The Comú manages several municipal parking lots spread across the parish. Most of them are barrier parking lots that charge in 15-minute increments and where the first half hour is free. These are the ones that exist, with their Google Maps link so you don't have to search:

Parking lot€/hNote

If you're going to stay for several hours or overnight, the cheapest barrier parking lot is the one that charges the night rate: €0.80/h from 20:00 to 8:00 (vs. €1.53/h daytime). Also, at the Puiet you can pay in 15-minute increments: the first half hour is free and the maximum stay is 48 hours.

Parking at Ordino Arcalís: free parking at the base of the slopes

Ordino Arcalís is the easiest ski resort to park at in Andorra. It has a free parking lot at the base of the slopes with capacity for 1,500 vehicles, so you won't have to walk with your gear from far away.
