Looking for that famous nature slide? You're probably thinking of the Tobotronc at Naturland (tourists sometimes call it Trocotron, Trobocon or Trombotron). It's the longest in Europe at 5.3 km, but it's not the only toboggan in Andorra. My name is Manuel, I was born and raised here, and I've done some proper research into the options.
The other popular ones besides the Tobotronc are Màgic Gliss at Grandvalira and the Splash at Palau de Gel.
Here's the rundown of every toboggan in Andorra, so you can pick the right one depending on the weather, your budget and whether you're bringing kids.
If you're planning a full weekend in Andorra, my Andorra in 2-3 days route includes a visit to Naturland (where the Tobotronc is) on day 3, combined with other adventure and nature activities.
Tobotronc (Naturland) - The Longest in Europe
Alpine toboggans are individual sleds that run down metal rails. You control the speed with a lever: push forward to brake, pull back to accelerate. Andorra has two: the Tobotronc at Naturland and Màgic Gliss at Grandvalira.
The Tobotronc is the king of toboggans. At 5.3 km long, it's the longest alpine toboggan in Europe. You drop 400 metres through pine forests with incredible views of the mountains.
The descent takes between 20 and 30 minutes depending on how fast you go. There are stretches where you can see the whole valley, and it's spectacular.
Tobotronc at Naturland - The longest alpine toboggan in Europe at 5.3 km.
Important restrictions: minimum height of 1.20 m, under-14s must ride with an adult on the same sled, and a maximum of 160 kg per sled. There are other restrictions for pregnancy, reduced mobility and so on. Have a look at the official Tobotronc page before you book.
I recommend buying your tickets online, because they're cheaper than at the ticket desk.

🎫 Can you buy a ticket just for the Tobotronc?

How to get there
The Tobotronc is at the 1600 level, where most of the summer activities are. In winter the activities usually move to the 2000 level (where there's more snow). Both levels have free parking for cars and motorbikes.
You can also reach Naturland on the communal bus from Sant Julià de Lòria. The stop is called Camp Gran. To get to Sant Julià from other parts of Andorra there's public transport (check bus.ad). Look up the bus times to Naturland on andbuscomunal.net. If you're driving, you can take the chance to stop by Auvinyà, a medieval village that's right on the way.
Other activities at Naturland
Naturland (formerly Naturlandia) is a mountain adventure park with plenty going on besides the Tobotronc. The most popular are the Airtrekk, a ropes and bridges circuit up to 13.5 m high that's great for testing your balance and your nerve, and the Forestline, a route through the forest to explore and enjoy the nature.
There are plenty of other activities too, like Nordic sleds, pony rides and archery. I'd have a look at the official page to see everything available for the day you're going, and check the age, weight and height restrictions while you're at it.
Official page with all the activitiesMàgic Gliss (Grandvalira - Canillo) - With Virtual Reality
Màgic Gliss is much shorter than the Tobotronc (555 metres), but it has something that makes it unique: the option of riding down with virtual reality goggles.
Kids can ride from 3 years old, always with an adult if they're under 135 cm tall. The height and weight requirements change depending on the activity. Check the Mont Magic activities page for the details of each one.
One of the most spectacular things at Mont Magic is its 550-metre zipline, which reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h. In winter the zipline and the Màgic Gliss are open, while in summer there are many more activities on offer. You can book the zipline here.
If you're heading to Canillo for the Màgic Gliss, take the chance to also visit the Tibetan Bridge, it's only a few minutes away. It's one of the most impressive suspension bridges in Europe and it pairs perfectly with the toboggan for a full day.

Splash (Palau de Gel) - Indoor Water Slides
Is it raining or freezing cold? The water slides at Palau de Gel are the perfect alternative. It's an indoor activity, so the weather doesn't matter. The Splash has three slides, 7 metres high and 53 metres long, that mix fun and adrenaline in a safe environment. It's ideal for families with small kids because the slides aren't extreme. You can combine it with ice skating in the same building, which has an Olympic-size rink.
