You're probably wondering where you can buy a phone or a computer in Andorra. I'm Manuel, born and raised in Andorra, so I've had to buy electronics more than once. In this guide I'll tell you about price differences, where to shop, and customs rules.

Is it worth buying electronics in Andorra?
The price difference comes from Andorra's 4.5% VAT compared to Spain's 21%, which allows Andorran retailers to be more competitive. That said, the difference is most noticeable on higher-priced items. For example, AirPods don't have as big a gap. The prices in the table below are from February 2026, and for a fair comparison I've used non-sale prices both in Spain and Andorra.

Best electronics shops in Andorra
All the main shops are on Avenida Meritxell, Andorra la Vella's main shopping street. I recommend buying at a well-known shopping centre or chain because it's easier for warranty. If you buy from a small shop, you might come back and find it's gone.
Note: There's no MediaMarkt in Andorra. The main electronics chains are Fnac (inside Pyrénées) and large stores like Andorra 2000.

Samsung
Xiaomi and budget Android
AliExpress Store on Avenida Meritxell. I bought my Xiaomi phone there in 2021 for 80€ and it still works perfectly.

MacBooks
K-tuin (official Apple partner). They have the full Mac range with international warranty.
Windows and gaming laptops
Fnac (inside Pyrénées shopping centre), Andorra 2000, Ualio
🎮 Where to buy a console in Andorra
For PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch: Fnac is the best option with a wide range of video games. Also large stores like Andorra 2000 and Illa Carlemany.
Warranty: Apple offers international warranty. Samsung and Xiaomi usually have European warranty. Always keep your receipt and invoice.
Customs limits: 900€ per person
You can bring up to 900€ worth of purchases per person without declaring when crossing the border. This limit is individual and CANNOT be split between travellers. If you buy a 1,000€ phone and your partner buys nothing, you can't split the value. You'd have to declare and pay taxes.
What happens if you go over 900€?
If you exceed the limit, you must declare at Spanish customs and pay:
- • Spanish VAT (21%) on the total value of the product
- • Possible additional duties depending on the product type
- • Customs processing fees
The special case of phones
The best time to buy an iPhone is when you can get it on sale for under 900 euros, or during Black Friday when you'll definitely get it for under 900 euros — no risk involved.

Buying electronics online from Andorra: is it worth it?
Some Andorran shops ship to Spain, like Andorra Electrónica. But generally it's NOT worth it for shipping to Spain.
Why not? Although you pay Andorra's IGI (4.5%) on the initial purchase, when the package arrives in Spain you must pay Spanish VAT (21%) at customs on the product's value. Plus possible additional duties if the value exceeds 150€ and courier processing fees. In the end, any saving completely disappears.
When CAN it be worth it?
- • Exclusive products not available in Spain
- • In-store pickup (you go to Andorra and collect)
- • Very specific products
Practical tips
Buy from known shops: K-tuin, Fnac, Andorra 2000... Much easier for warranty.
Best time: Winter sales (December-March) and summer sales (July-August) have the best prices.
Always keep the receipt: You'll need it for warranty and in case customs ask for it.
Hotels Near the Shopping Area
If you're coming for shopping, the ideal is to sleep nearby so you don't have to take the car every time you want to visit a store. The outlets and Av. Meritxell are right in the centre of Andorra: Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany. So the hotels in this area leave you 5-15 minutes walk from almost everything.
In this section I'm giving you 3 hotels in the centre that I recommend: a 4-star (Hotel Metropolis), a more affordable 3-star (Hotel & Aparthotel Cosmos) and the cheapest of all, a hostel in the old town (Barri Antic Hostel & Pub). All three are within walking distance of the shopping area and I've chosen them to cover three different budgets.
1️⃣ Hotel Metropolis - 4★ with the best rating (Recommended)
⭐ Rating: 9.3/10 · 🏨 Category: 4 stars · 📍 Location: Escaldes-Engordany (~10 min walk from Av. Meritxell) · 🅿️ Parking: 18€/night (ample parking)
Hotel Metropolis is a 4-star and has one of the best ratings in the area. It's in Escaldes, right next to the river, and the walk to Av. Meritxell goes through Prat del Roure park and the Dalí Clock: very pleasant for walking with shopping bags. It's about 20-30€ more expensive than the Cosmos, but the room, breakfast buffet and staff treatment justify the difference.

2️⃣ Hotel & Aparthotel Cosmos - 3★ with cheap parking
⭐ Rating: 8.2/10 · 🏨 Category: 3 stars · 📍 Location: Andorra la Vella, right in the centre · 🅿️ Parking: 18€/day
The Cosmos is a well-located 3-star, right in the centre of Andorra la Vella. Its private parking costs 18€/day, one of the most reasonable prices among central hotels. If you come in low season you can find rooms for €80. I recommend it if you're looking for an affordable option without giving up being right in the heart of the shopping area, and also if you prefer having parking included in the price.

3️⃣ Barri Antic Hostel & Pub - The cheapest option
⭐ Rating: 8.9/10 · 📍 Location: Barri Antic, Andorra la Vella (old town)
If you're looking for the cheapest option right in the centre, I recommend this hostel in the Barri Antic (old town) of Andorra la Vella. It has its own pub, shared kitchen and a very pleasant youthful atmosphere. Most guests are young backpackers or couples on a tight budget. To park you can use Parking Madriu (€2.10/day, 30 min walk) or look for blue zone/free parking nearby.
