In this article
I was born and raised in Andorra. My mum and sister love shopping, so I've had to tag along more than once and picked up a thing or two about where to find the best bargains.
In this article I'll tell you about the best outlets in Andorra for clothes, sports and ski gear, when to find the best deals, and a few insider tips.
One thing my mum told me: outlets are like a lottery — sometimes a place has great deals, sometimes the same place has nothing interesting. That's why I'm mentioning several options: the idea is to browse a few and find the bargain wherever it happens to be that day.

Why Are Outlets in Andorra So Cheap?
Outlets in Andorra combine two advantages: first, the 4.5% IGI tax (Andorra's VAT) vs 21% in Spain or 20% in France. Second, being outlets, they sell stock from previous seasons with additional 30-80% discounts.
So you start from an already lower base price (thanks to the low tax), and on top of that you add the outlet discount. That's why the savings can be so huge.
To give you an idea: my mum bought a brand shirt at Scalpers (in Illa Carlemany, not even an outlet) that cost 59€ in Spain. In Andorra the same shirt was 44€ already, and during sales she got it for just 25€. That's 58% savings compared to Spain without even stepping into an outlet. And at outlets the discounts go even further — I found shoes at Jeans Culte that went from 119€ to 24€.
One thing to watch out for though: if you buy a lot, there's a 900€ per person limit when crossing the border. If you go over, you'll need to declare it and pay taxes. More details in the tips section below.
When to Shop: Sales and Best Times
At outlets, discounts stack: you get the outlet price (already reduced) plus the additional sale discount. You can reach savings of 60-70%. For ski gear, the best time is end of season (March-April) when discounts can reach up to 50%.
🏷️ Sales periods
Sales in Andorra are similar to Spain, but they usually start a few days earlier. You can take advantage of additional discounts that stack on top of already competitive prices.
- Summer sales 2026: 19 June - 30 August 2026
- Winter sales 2025-2026: 26 December 2025 - 8 March 2026
- Sports equipment sales: 6 February - 19 April 2026
- Black Friday and Cyber Monday: November
🕒 Opening hours
Most shops open from 10:00 to 20:00, although some close at midday (approx 13:30-15:00).
On Sundays, hours are usually reduced, closing at 19:00.
Public holidays (closed): January 1, March 14, September 8 and December 25.
📅 Low season: March-April and September-October
If you want to avoid crowds and get better service, go in March-April or September-October. Fewer tourists, more calm, and shop assistants have more time to help you.
And if you can, go during the week instead of weekends. Weekends and public holidays are packed.
Where to Park for Outlet Shopping
If you're coming to shop in Andorra la Vella, my recommendation is to park directly at one of the three big shopping centres in town: that way you're already where you need to be and you save time. With a minimum purchase of around 30€ you get 2 hours free parking at all three.
🅿️ Parking Pyrénées
Right on Av. Meritxell, inside the Pyrénées shopping centre. Perfect for Jeans Culte, Mango Outlet, NOW, Alex Boutique and the Pyrénées Outlet itself. Maps.
🅿️ Parking Andorra 2000
On Av. de Tarragona, right next to the Pyrénées Outlet. Same deal: 2 hours free with ~30€ purchase. A great backup when Pyrénées is full (especially weekends). Maps.
🅿️ Parking E.Leclerc
If you're also doing supermarket shopping, this one's for you. Bonus: with 99€ of purchases they give you a ticket for the Envalira Tunnel (very handy if coming from France in winter). Maps.

What Else to Buy in Andorra
If you want to see more examples and find out which products are most worth buying here, read my article on what to buy in Andorra. And if you want to see brand-name clothing stores (not outlets), I've also covered them in the guide to clothing stores in Andorra.
If you're planning a multi-day trip to Andorra to take advantage of outlets, spa and nature, check out my 2-3 day complete itinerary: where I combine outlet shopping with Caldea, the Tibetan Bridge and the best restaurants.
Hotels Near the Shopping Area
If you're coming for shopping, the ideal is to sleep nearby so you don't have to take the car every time you want to visit a store. The outlets and Av. Meritxell are right in the centre of Andorra: Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany. So the hotels in this area leave you 5-15 minutes walk from almost everything.
In this section I'm giving you 3 hotels in the centre that I recommend: a 4-star (Hotel Metropolis), a more affordable 3-star (Hotel & Aparthotel Cosmos) and the cheapest of all, a hostel in the old town (Barri Antic Hostel & Pub). All three are within walking distance of the shopping area and I've chosen them to cover three different budgets.
1️⃣ Hotel Metropolis - 4★ with the best rating (Recommended)
⭐ Rating: 9.3/10 · 🏨 Category: 4 stars · 📍 Location: Escaldes-Engordany (~10 min walk from Av. Meritxell) · 🅿️ Parking: 18€/night (ample parking)
Hotel Metropolis is a 4-star and has one of the best ratings in the area. It's in Escaldes, right next to the river, and the walk to Av. Meritxell goes through Prat del Roure park and the Dalí Clock: very pleasant for walking with shopping bags. It's about 20-30€ more expensive than the Cosmos, but the room, breakfast buffet and staff treatment justify the difference.
Check Availability & Prices at Hotel Metropolis"The room with an extra-large bed, the very complete breakfast buffet, the soundproofing, ample parking (depending on the vehicle they assign you one or another), perfect. 5 minutes from Caldea and 10 from the centre."
2️⃣ Hotel & Aparthotel Cosmos - 3★ with cheap parking
⭐ Rating: 8.2/10 · 🏨 Category: 3 stars · 📍 Location: Andorra la Vella, right in the centre · 🅿️ Parking: 18€/day
The Cosmos is a well-located 3-star, right in the centre of Andorra la Vella. Its private parking costs 18€/day, one of the most reasonable prices among central hotels. If you come in low season you can find rooms for €80. I recommend it if you're looking for an affordable option without giving up being right in the heart of the shopping area, and also if you prefer having parking included in the price.
Check Availability & Prices at Hotel Cosmos"We decided to pay for the hotel parking (€18) since everything in the centre is paid parking. Very central hotel. The breakfast buffet was very complete, all the staff were very friendly. Clean and cozy room."
3️⃣ Barri Antic Hostel & Pub - The cheapest option
⭐ Rating: 8.9/10 · 📍 Location: Barri Antic, Andorra la Vella (old town)
If you're looking for the cheapest option right in the centre, I recommend this hostel in the Barri Antic (old town) of Andorra la Vella. It has its own pub, shared kitchen and a very pleasant youthful atmosphere. Most guests are young backpackers or couples on a tight budget. To park you can use Parking Madriu (€2.10/day, 30 min walk) or look for blue zone/free parking nearby.
Check Availability at Barri Antic Hostel"Central location, with a bar downstairs that doesn't disturb you at night at all. Really friendly and helpful people. I'll be back."

Local Tips to Save More at Outlets
After tagging along with my mum and sister to outlets, here are some tricks I've seen work:
- Check several stores: as my mum says, outlets are a lottery. Sometimes the steal is at Jeans Culte, sometimes at NOW, sometimes at Alex Boutique. Don't close yourself off to the first one.
- Always go upstairs: at NOW and Mítics, the good stuff is on the 1st floor. Lots of people stay downstairs and miss the best discounts.
- Ask about back stock: they often have more sizes in the storage room. Don't settle for "we don't have your size" without asking.
- Go at the end of the day: fewer people, more relaxed staff.
- Check items carefully: look for defects, stains, broken zippers. Outlets sometimes have pieces with minor flaws.
- Buy ski gear at end of season: in March-April discounts can reach up to 50%.
- 900€ customs limit per person: if you buy a lot, don't go over or you'll have to declare it and pay taxes.
- Keep your receipts: many outlets don't accept returns. Ask BEFORE you buy.
- Plan a route along Av. Meritxell: Jeans Culte → Mango Outlet → Alex Boutique Clothing → Alex Boutique Shoes → NOW. All on the same strip, doable on foot in half an hour.
