One question people often ask is where to buy clothes in Andorra. There are plenty of clothing shops, but where can you buy branded clothes? Where can you buy luxury clothing? And which shops offer the best discounts on brands?
I did some research and asked my mother, who knows a lot about this, for advice. Let's answer those questions and more in this article.
If you want to know what else is worth buying in Andorra (electronics, perfume, tobacco and more), take a look at our complete guide to what to buy in Andorra.

Is clothing really cheaper in Andorra?
In Andorra, VAT (known here as IGI) is 4.5%, compared with 21% in Spain. This allows Andorran retailers to be competitive and offer better prices.
However, you will not notice the difference on cheaper clothing. The real savings are on more expensive clothes. There is no Primark in Andorra, so basic clothing is not worth buying just for the price: Zara costs more or less the same in Andorra as in Spain.
For example, my mother bought a Scalpers shirt that costs €59 in Spain and was priced at €44 in Andorra. As it was the sales period, she got it for €25. That is where you can really see the difference.
Left: the price of the Scalpers shirt in Andorra (€44). Right: the price in Spain (€59) and the sale price my mother got in Andorra (€25).
⚠️ Important: Remember that the allowance for goods you can bring through customs without declaring them is €900 per person. If you exceed this limit, you will have to pay taxes. Find out more in our Andorra customs guide.
💡 In short:
- • Fast fashion (Zara, Mango, H&M): NOT worth it; prices are almost the same
- • Branded clothing (Scalpers, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's): YES, you can save 15-25%
- • Luxury (Gucci, Prada, D&G): YES, the more expensive the item, the greater the saving
Where to buy branded clothing in Andorra
For branded clothing, my first recommendation is Via Moda. Via Moda is a group of more than 20 shops on Avinguda Meritxell and Avinguda Carlemany.
The group's main shops are Shibori (view on Google Maps) and Options (view on Google Maps). Other shops in the group have more offers, so it is worth walking around to see them all.
Be sure to visit the Via Moda website. It is well organised: if you want to find out where your favourite brand is sold, you can search for it directly.
Brands available at Via Moda
Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, Calvin Klein, Guess, Pepe Jeans, Michael Kors, Armani Exchange, Karl Lagerfeld, Desigual, G-Star Raw, Replay, DKNY, Liu·Jo, JOTT...
You can also buy branded clothing at Illa Carlemany (view on Google Maps). There are shops such as Scalpers and Levi's. However, unlike in other cities, the branded clothing shops are not all in large shopping centres. That is not the case here: according to my mother, most of the branded clothing is at Via Moda.
If you are looking for deals and discounts, Via Moda has its own outlets. For more information, see our guide to outlets in Andorra.
Luxury shops in Andorra
For luxury shopping, there is The Embassy Store. You can tell just by looking at the photo that it sells luxury clothing.

When are the clothing sales in Andorra?
🏷️ Sales periods
Sales in Andorra are similar to Spain, but they usually start a few days earlier. You can take advantage of additional discounts that stack on top of already competitive prices.
- Summer sales 2026: 19 June - 30 August 2026
- Winter sales 2025-2026: 26 December 2025 - 8 March 2026
- Sports equipment sales: 6 February - 19 April 2026
- Black Friday and Cyber Monday: November
Where to park for shopping
If you are coming to buy clothes, the most practical option is to park near the centre. I recommend two options:
- 🅿️ Pyrénées or E.Leclerc: Both offer two hours of free parking if you shop there. You are already in the centre, and if you need to pay after that, at least you have had two free hours. My mother has told me that Leclerc can sometimes be difficult at weekends and during long weekends.
- 🅿️ Parking Madriu: This is the cheapest option, although it is a 30-minute walk from the centre.
The Carlemany stretch (north of Illa Carlemany) is in Escaldes-Engordany, where blue-zone parking is free on Sundays.
Hotels Near the Shopping Area
If you're coming for shopping, the ideal is to sleep nearby so you don't have to take the car every time you want to visit a store. The outlets and Av. Meritxell are right in the centre of Andorra: Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany. So the hotels in this area leave you 5-15 minutes walk from almost everything.
In this section I'm giving you 3 hotels in the centre that I recommend: a 4-star (Hotel Metropolis), a more affordable 3-star (Hotel & Aparthotel Cosmos) and the cheapest of all, a hostel in the old town (Barri Antic Hostel & Pub). All three are within walking distance of the shopping area and I've chosen them to cover three different budgets.
1️⃣ Hotel Metropolis - 4★ with the best rating (Recommended)
⭐ Rating: 9.3/10 · 🏨 Category: 4 stars · 📍 Location: Escaldes-Engordany (~10 min walk from Av. Meritxell) · 🅿️ Parking: 18€/night (ample parking)
Hotel Metropolis is a 4-star and has one of the best ratings in the area. It's in Escaldes, right next to the river, and the walk to Av. Meritxell goes through Prat del Roure park and the Dalí Clock: very pleasant for walking with shopping bags. It's about 20-30€ more expensive than the Cosmos, but the room, breakfast buffet and staff treatment justify the difference.
Check Availability & Prices at Hotel Metropolis"The room with an extra-large bed, the very complete breakfast buffet, the soundproofing, ample parking (depending on the vehicle they assign you one or another), perfect. 5 minutes from Caldea and 10 from the centre."
2️⃣ Hotel & Aparthotel Cosmos - 3★ with cheap parking
⭐ Rating: 8.2/10 · 🏨 Category: 3 stars · 📍 Location: Andorra la Vella, right in the centre · 🅿️ Parking: 18€/day
The Cosmos is a well-located 3-star, right in the centre of Andorra la Vella. Its private parking costs 18€/day, one of the most reasonable prices among central hotels. If you come in low season you can find rooms for €80. I recommend it if you're looking for an affordable option without giving up being right in the heart of the shopping area, and also if you prefer having parking included in the price.
Check Availability & Prices at Hotel Cosmos"We decided to pay for the hotel parking (€18) since everything in the centre is paid parking. Very central hotel. The breakfast buffet was very complete, all the staff were very friendly. Clean and cozy room."
3️⃣ Barri Antic Hostel & Pub - The cheapest option
⭐ Rating: 8.9/10 · 📍 Location: Barri Antic, Andorra la Vella (old town)
If you're looking for the cheapest option right in the centre, I recommend this hostel in the Barri Antic (old town) of Andorra la Vella. It has its own pub, shared kitchen and a very pleasant youthful atmosphere. Most guests are young backpackers or couples on a tight budget. To park you can use Parking Madriu (€2.10/day, 30 min walk) or look for blue zone/free parking nearby.
Check Availability at Barri Antic Hostel"Central location, with a bar downstairs that doesn't disturb you at night at all. Really friendly and helpful people. I'll be back."
